Youth Ministry Nathaniel and Elizabeth Miller head up the youth ministry. Our mission as a church is to produce a youth group that is self-supportive and wholly in tune with God's word. The youth are the future of the church and deserve to be treated as such. They have an important role in our congregation and their community and our youth ministry program is designed to prepare them to be young disciples of God. Thus far our youth group has participated in activities such as: Christian music concerts, Lock-ins, Christmas carolling, Movie nights, bowling, and numerous bonfires. The youth had their own Thanksgiving feast to celebrate our many blessings and are going to be organizing a "Secret Santa" gift exchange on Christmas Eve day. In the future the youth will be planning many more exciting activitie such as campouts, Video/board game nights, concerts, and much more. We invite you to join us and hope that you feel welcome in our assembly! George Street Church of Christ is family, which affords our youth the unique opportunity to be mentored by not just one or two people, but by an entire congregation. Presently, our youth group is trying to use what they have learned from the congregation about unity and love, and incorporate these concepts into the way that they interact with others on a day to day basis. Currently, the teen lessons are focused on common misconceptions of christian principles as they pertain to the controversial issues that young adults face on a day to day basis and the middle school classes are focusing on specific books of the bible and the principles that can be gleaned from them. We have youth classes on Sunday mornings from 9:30am-10am and Wednesday evenings from 7pm-7:45pm.We hope that you can join us sometime soon!
