What to expect to see and experince when attending the worship service at the
Homewood Church Of Christ
Our worship service is patterned after first century New Testament worship. When we meet to worship we observe the five acts of worship that are authourized by the New Testament (Col 3:17).
1. Singing--- We collectively participate congregational vocal accapella singing during our worship services (Eph 5:19; Col 3:16)
2. Giving--- During every worship service we give of our monetary means as we have prospered (I Cor 16:1-2)
3. Lord's Supper--- We eat the Lord's Supper during every worship service, everyone is free to partake of it if they choose do so (Acts 20:7; I Cor 11:20-32)
4. Praying--- Durng every worship service we pray to God (Acts 2:42; I Tim 2:1-2)
5. Teaching--- During every worship service we teach the word of God (Matt 28:18-20; II Tim 2:2)
