It is true that as we get older we have need for more things to help get around and live more comfortable in our old age.

Some have said that religion and faith in God is just a crutch indicating that Christians are weak and need a crutch to get around in this life.

I readily accept that description. Faith in God does help us to get through this troublesome world in which we live.

I am very thankful for my God who supplies my needs. - Philippians 4:19  And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I am very thankful for Jesus who understands my weaknesses. - Hebrews 4:14--16  Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I readily accept my need for God. - Revelation 3:14--17  "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

I am so thankful for the peace He gives. - Philippians 4:6--7  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

May we all appreciate the blessings God gives to us as His children.

With love and concern,

Larry
