Good and Bad News

Which news do you want to see first, the good news or the bad news? I'll give you the good news first.

The GOOD NEWS is that we can have the hope of heaven and salvation by having faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. Christ is not a myth, a Santa Claus, a thought, wishful thinking, or any such thing. He is real, He lives, and He IS the Son of God. He proved it over and over again. Just read the Bible and even secular history to prove it. He is the Savior, the Redeemer, the Lamb of God, the One who takes sins away. The problem most people have is that God REQUIRES humans to (1) Have FAITH in Christ (John 8:24; Hebrews 11:6); (2) REPENT of your sins (Luke 13:3). Yes, God REQUIRES us to repent, that is, quit practicing sin (Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30). Without repentance, we fool ourselves into thinking all it takes to be accepted into Heaven is "faith only". Not so! (3) CONFESS publicly your faith that Jesus is the Son of God (Matthew 10:32-33); (4) Be BAPTIZED (immersed, not sprinkled or dipped) for the remission/forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38; 1 Peter 3:21); and finally (5) REMAIN FAITHFUL to Christ until death...that's right. That is precisely what Jesus told His Church at Smyrna. You can read it for yourself. Just open the Bible to Revelation 2:10. So, the good news is we can live now with joy and hope if we live for Christ, not just for ourselves. The decision is yours. You must want to go to heaven. You must desire it. If the world is your first choice, then I give you the bad news.

The BAD NEWS is if we reject Christ, we will be judged by the Bible and all it contains. "The Book will be thrown at us" so to speak. Get the idea? Read John 12:48. When Christ returns, He will not come to be compassionate, but to judge the world. You don't believe it? Okay, read 1 Thess. 1:7-9. You don't have to be excluded from God's presence in Heaven, but you must NOT want to go to hell or else you will. Guess what? God has already done His part. He sent His Son to save us. Now you must do yours. The final decision is ONLY yours. Seek Him and, yes, you will find Him. "Good luck".

La BUENA NOTICIA es que podemos tener la esperanza del cielo y la salvaci�n por tener fe en Jesucristo como el Hijo de Dios. Cristo no es un mito, un Pap� Noel, un pensamiento, una ilusi�n o algo as�. Él es real, vive, y EL ES el Hijo de Dios. Lo prob� una y otra vez. Basta con leer la Biblia e incluso la historia secular para demostrarlo. Él es el Salvador, el Redentor, el Cordero de Dios, el que quita los pecados. El problema que la mayor�a de la gente tiene es que Dios REQUIERE que los seres humanos (1) tengan FE en Cristo (Juan 8:24, Hebreos 11: 6); (2) ARREPIÉNTE de tus pecados (Lucas 13: 3). S�, Dios REQUIERE que nos arrepintamos, es decir, dejar de practicar el pecado (Hechos 2:38, Hechos 17:30). Sin arrepentimiento, nos enga�amos pensando que todo lo que se necesita para ser aceptado en el Cielo es "s�lo la fe". �No es as�! (3) CONFESAR p�blicamente su fe de que Jes�s es el Hijo de Dios (Mateo 10: 32-33); (4) Ser BAUTIZADO (sumergido, no rociado o hundido) para la remisi�n / perd�n de los pecados (Hechos 2:38, 1 Pedro 3:21); Y finalmente (5) PERMANECER FIEL a Cristo hasta la muerte ... eso es correcto. Eso es precisamente lo que Jes�s le dijo a Su Iglesia en Esmirna. Puedes leerlo por ti mismo. S�lo abra la Biblia a Apocalipsis 2:10. Por lo tanto, la buena noticia es que podemos vivir ahora con alegr�a y esperanza si vivimos para Cristo, no s�lo para nosotros mismos. La decisi�n es tuya. Debes querer ir al cielo. Usted debe desearlo. Si el mundo es tu primera opci�n, entonces te doy las malas noticias.

La MALA NOTICIA es que si rechazamos a Cristo, seremos juzgados por la Biblia y todo lo que contiene. "El Libro nos ser� arrojado" por as� decirlo. �Captar la idea? Lea Juan 12:48. Cuando Cristo regrese, Él no vendr� a ser compasivo, sino a juzgar al mundo. �No lo crees? Bien, lea 2 Tes. 1: 7-9. Usted no tiene que ser excluido de la presencia de Dios en el cielo, pero usted no debe querer ir al infierno o bien lo har�. �Adivina qué? Dios ya ha hecho su parte. Él envi� a Su Hijo para salvarnos. Ahora debes hacer el tuyo. La decisi�n final es S�LO la suya. Buscadle y, s�, lo encontraréis. "Buena suerte".
