MIAMI CHURCH OF CHRIST - MIAMI AZ

Articles/Sermon Outlines

Let's start out the 2024 year in this way from:
Mark 8:31-38

Point #1 -- God's plan is overwhelmingly greater than anything in this world.

God's Purpose is not a fantasy, it will not be thwarted, and it will not go away. Being mindful of the things of God means we see beyond what concerns humans. God works in and through the events of our lives (human condition) in order to bring about His purpose and His will... which always ends in the best way for those who trust in Him.

Bad things happen in this world but in God's purpose, their human futility and frailty ends where God's magnificent and perfect will begins and continues. We don't always see this perfect end but its there, waiting for us.

Point #2 -- To be part of that great plan, God must be a priority in our lives.

Jesus lived, suffered, and died in order to tell us things about God and the end of the world. He began His life with the same message that He gave when He died... There is absolutelya judgment and there is absolutely a way to a life that never ends and is full of joy and peace.

As Christians then, we are called to say and do exactly what God said through Paul in Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
