Man Made Morality

We have many in our society who are pushing, preaching, and parading about with a "new morality." Their "new" morality is not new at all. Satan has been supporting "man-made morality" for a long time. If you stand against homosexuality, according to some you are immoral. If you do not support lesbians, you are immoral. If you do not want a socialist society, you are on the wrong side of history, and you are immoral. If you stand up against late term abortion or any abortion, you are immoral. It amazes me that they decide what is moral and what is not.

In reality, only God can teach men what is moral and what is not moral. Consider what the word of God says:

Psalm 33:4 -- "For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth."

Psalm 119:128 -- "Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way."

Isaiah 45:5-6 -- "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else."

Proverbs 14:12-- "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

Jeremiah 10:23-- "O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps."

II Timothy 3:16-17-- "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

II Peter 1:3 -- "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue."

I Thessalonians 2:13 -- "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."

John 14:6 -- "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 12:48 -- "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."

God is our only Creator. God is the only lawgiver of morality. And God will judge us in light of the gospel of Christ and not the man-made morality that Satan originates. Let us stick to the word of God.

Psalm 119:31 -- "I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame."

Psalm 119:34 -- "Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart."

John 17:17 -- "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
