For He Careth For You

"For He Careth For You"

By Dan Bailey

It is easy to become discouraged in this world. So many trials and tribulations befall us. But then, these things are not new. The eternal God, our Creator, our Lord, the Ruler of the universe, is able to provide for us. We read in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." Often we are worried about the daily affairs of this life when we need to be more concerned with spiritual and heavenly matters. Let us trust ourselves to God's benevolent care. God can and will provide for all our needs. The Apostle Paul has told us, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen" (Philippians 4:19-20).

Just the thought of God being concerned is comforting. Why would God notice me? Why would God even care? Who am I that God would hear my prayers? Again, Paul has told us, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).

The expression, "... be careful for nothing," simply means don't be anxious or worried about anything. Why should we worry if we pray? David said, "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). We need to take encouragement from the Word of God, that our God is a God of care and concern. Should we ever doubt the power, the love, and the concern that God has for us? NO!!

Let us trust more firmly in God and less firmly in ourselves. We are weak but our God is -- Oh, so strong! Remember the words of Jesus our Savior. Matthew 6:25-34"25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? "And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:" "And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." "Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?" "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?" (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
