History


The first members of the church at Mineral Springs were simply seeking to worship and serve God according to His Word without the influence of man-written creeds or earthly headquarters. The beginnings of the church go back to around 33 AD and is founded on Jesus the Christ. Following only the scriptures will produce the New Testament church where members are called Christians, not by a name derived from man.  They found that there were indeed autonomous groups calling themselves churches of Christ that were doing just that. The first worship services were held in a private home in the early 1950's and soon afterward, one member donated a small lot and constructed a modest building. On May 13, 2018 we began worshiping in a new location at 4618 Pleasant Grove Road, Waxhaw, NC - within the town limits of Mineral Springs - just 2 miles from the current location.
