OLIN W. SHINHOLSER serves as an elder and adult Bible
teacher for the Sebring Parkway church of Christ. He serves on the President's
Council for Freed Hardeman University.
Olin received his undergraduate degree in
political science (1974) and law degree (1976) from University of Florida. He
was in private practice for 2 1/2 years, assistant state attorney for 10 years
and served first as a county judge and then as circuit judge for a total of 27 years on the bench. He is now retired
from active status and is in senior status serving part time when needed.
He served as the chair of the Florida Conference
of Circuit Judges for two years. He currently serves: on the Florida Supreme
Court Judicial Management Council; Florida Access to Civil Justice Commission; Florida DUI Programs Review
Board; and cochair of the legislative team of Florida conference of Circuit
Judges. He served two different terms as president of the Downtown Breakfast
Kiwanis Club. He served multiple roles for Boy Scouts America including 3 years
as district chair and many years on the Council Executive Board; he received
both the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award.
He has been married to Brenda for more than 45
years and they have two daughters, Julie
Fowler😂🎀 and Rebecca Shinholser. They have
two grandchildren, Joshua and Rachel Fowler😂🎀
Olin's areas of responsibility within the congregation are Church Building External Maintenance & Repair, Sunday Morning/Wednesday Evening Line-Up, Attendance & Visitation, Treasury, and Directory.
