"THE TATUMATOR"

Making up stories and singing was something we did with our grandchildren while sitting on our porch. What I loved most about these times was there were no screens in front of us. We only had each other which I so cherish. This was one of our stories.

On Monday, Tatum's mommy was vacuuming the living room.  She was trying to move the couch so she could sweep under it, but she could not get it to move.  Suddenly, Tatum flew into the room and said, "I can move it for you because I am the Tatumator!"  Tatum used her pinky finger to move the couch.  "Thank you," said her mommy.  "You are so welcome," said Tatum and off she flew.

On Tuesday, Tatum's daddy was working on his truck when a wrench fell under the truck.  No matter how much he tried he could not reach the wrench.  Suddenly, Tatum flew to the truck and said, "I can pick up the truck for you and then you can get your wrench, because I am the Tatumator!"  Tatum picked up the truck with her little toe while her daddy got the wrench.  "Thank you," said her daddy.  "You are so welcome," said Tatum and off she flew.

On Wednesday, Tatum's sister, Reagan was riding her bike when out of no where a big rock wall blocked her way.  Suddenly, Tatum flew down to her and said, "I can punch a hole into the rock wall and then you can ride your bike through it because I am the Tatumator!"  Tatum gave the wall one big hit with her fist and made an opening.  "Thank you," said Reagan. "You are so welcome," said Tatum and off she flew.

On Thursday, Tatum's sister, Belinda was out for a walk when it started to rain.  She couldn't see anything because it was raining so hard.  Suddenly, Tatum flew down to her and said, "I can block the rain for you because I am the Tatumator!" Tatum turned her body into a giant umbrella that protected Belinda so she could find her house.  "Thank you," said Belinda.  "You are so welcome," said Tatum and off she flew.

On Friday, Tatum's brother, Matthew was cutting the grass when for no reason the lawnmower stopped.  No matter how much he tried he could not start the lawnmower. Suddenly, Tatum flew down to him and said, "I can help you cut the grass because I am the Tatumator!" Tatum got on her hands and told Matthew to hold her legs and push her.  As he was pushing her Tatum started to eat all the grass like a lawnmower.  "Thank you," said Matthew.  "You are so welcome," said Tatum and off she flew.

On Saturday, cousins Nikita and James were playing in the swimming pool when it started to leak. They started swirling around like a whirlpool. Suddenly, Tatum flew down to them and said, "I can save you because I am the Tatumator!"  Tatum took a big breath, blew hot air into the hole, closing it up and stopped the leak. "Thank you," said cousins Nikita and James. "You are so welcome," said Tatum and off she flew.

On Sunday, all of Tatum's family was getting ready to leave their house for church when a big giant blocked the door.  "There will be NO church for you today,' yelled the giant. What were they to do?  Suddenly, Tatum turned to her family and said, "I need a little more help."  "I will call on my friend, God." And with that Tatum told all her family to hold hands and pray for God to remove the giant. They prayed and God made the giant disappear.  "Thank you," said Tatum's family." "Oh, don't thank me."  I didn't do anything."  "It was my friend, God," said Tatum.

On Monday, Tatum went back to helping others, after all nothing could stop her because she knew where her strength came from...her very good friend, God.

Children are the hands by which we take hold of heaven.

What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies
