Bessie F. Payne, 70, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010. She was born in Stevenson, Ala. on Aug. 24, 1940 to Will and Jamima Summers Prickett who preceded her in death along with her brother, John Billy Prickett Sr. She was a member of Church of Christ at Bridgeport and a teacher at the Wonderland Kindergarten. She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Payne Sr.; son, Paul E. (Della) Payne Jr., Bridgeport and Wade (Tracy) Payne, Loganville, Ga.; several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bridgeport Chapel of Rudder Funeral Home with Roger Comstock and Danny Rader officiating. Burial to follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, Jasper, Tenn. Visitation: 5-9 p.m. today at Rudder Funeral Home, Bridgeport.
