Purpose

The Friday Night Singings have been in the Middle Tennessee area more than 30 years. Members of the church of Christ started meeting at different congregations to simply sing, evolving into what we have today. Coordinated by the late Harold Long, Willie Robertson, and later by Eugene Mullins, and greatly supported by the hosting congregations, these singings have become a long-honored tradition. We come from several different congregations, many times traveling great distances to be together. But we are more than that! WE ARE CHRISTIANS who love our LORD! We gather nearly every Friday night to, first and foremost, sing praises to "Our God, He is Alive". We gather because we "Love One Another", and for the simple fact that "He Gave Me a Song". We certainly do have a love for singing, and "What a Fellowship" we have as part of "God's Family". For those of you who are new to these singings -- or maybe you just wonder what all the excitement is about -- please, come join us in song! We are a friendly bunch who would love to have you visit with us whenever possible.
