The Churchs of Christ and Instrumental Music

AD #1 INSTRUMENTS OF MUSIC
Christ stated in Matthew 16:18 that he would build his church. The Church of Christ today is that church. Because the Church of Christ is the church we read about in the New Testament, it must therefore follow the commands, instructions, and ordinances found in the Bible. More>>

DOES GOD'S SILENCE PERMIT?
When a discussion about instrumental music in worship takes place, the one in support of it will often say, "The Bible doesn't say not to?" Is there any merit in this line of argument? What can we learn from the scriptures? More>>

ON INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
There are those in the body of Christ who tell us that the use of instrumental music in worship is a "non-issue." If worship truly is a matter of being "in spirit and truth," as Jesus said it should be (John 4:24), then one would expect to find something in Scripture about what constitutes acceptable worship, the truth of God in how He desires to be worshiped. MAKING MARRIAGE LAST
Perhaps you've witnessed two toddlers going at each other, upset over which will get their way. It's usually a short-lived event, but it can be pretty intense while it's happening. There is much confusion in the religious world today due to a lack of understanding regarding the two covenants found in Scripture, the Law of Moses and the gospel of Christ. The Sanctity of Scriptural Context
C. S. Pearce published an article by the above title in the Los Angeles Times December 2, 2012. One of the main arguments that Pearce uses is that in the first century historical context the passages in the New Testament refer to a special kind of homosexual practice not applicable today. Marriage is Still He and She
Can there ever be a Christian case for same-sex marriage? Only if you leave God's word out of the case being made. But if you do that, then it cannot be a Christian case for same-sex marriage. More>>

Rationalizing Same Sex Marriages
The Bible is God's inspired word (2 Timothy 3:16), literally meaning God-breathed, coming directly from God to men, moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21). The Church as the Family of God
When one becomes a Christian, one becomes a member of the family of God. 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 states, "17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. What About the Christian Religion Ad 48

Religion and Morality
Some religions are seeped in immorality. The morality of the pagan religions of the Old Testament world were so bad that they made Mother Nature herself sick. Is There a Wall Between Church and State?

Foreword: U.S. Supreme Court Reaches a Queer Decision
Queer is defined as strange or odd. The US Supreme Court has ruled that same sex marriage is to be no longer strange or odd, and is to be legally acceptable throughout the United States. The ruling in itself is weird; inasmuch as the function of the Supreme Court is to make sure laws made by the legislative branch is in harmony with the Constitution rather than to produce new laws. Miracles were peculiar to biblical times. These signs, wonders, and miracles were used by God to demonstrate to man that His message was from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
